"Ultra Feminine Warrior – celebrating energy, creativity, sacred power of women."
Carol Ann Rice Rafferty
Carol Ann's collection of wearable art clothing includes: garments, objects and accessories inspired from military armor that provides protection - such as gorgets, gauntlets and gaiters made of tulle, hand dyed silk, and illuminated with technological fiber optic light elements. Carol's collection was inspired by woman power as displayed by the song "Bullet Proof" by La Roux.
The journey provided pure joy as she was researching trends, finding inspirations, drawing sketches, dyeing yards of luxurious silk and tulle, sewing countless woman hours of both hand and machine stitching. Some of the Rice Rafferty Couture Accessories worn by the models were: fabric bib statement necklaces, tutus, silk wrap dreses, silk slips, pins, and veils.
